I have a long black mother-of-the-groom dress that I would like hemmed and taken in to become a “sheathy” kind of dress. Since I work downtown Chicago M-F, I guess weekdays are out. Thank you for your willingness to help. Actually, my website needs updating dramatically! We are making the dresses all year. Currently up to 890! Thus far, 95 have gone to Haiti, 523 to India, and 10 to Africa. Over 200 are in storage waiting for someone to call me to ask if they cann have some to take somewhere. Supplies and people willing to sew continually pour in. This is so exciting to be a part of.

Actually, it turns out some of us are going to continue to make them all year long. We had such an overwhelming response….it has been very exciting! Someone has volunteered a warehouse to store made dresses and supplies in until we find a way of getting them somewhere. Also have a few missionaries who regularly go to Haiti who have volunteered to put them in suitcase so there won’t be red tape or shipping cost. Any that we don’t find homes for during the year will just give us a head start on the shoe box ministry for next year. Where are you located?
